Billing:
- School Real Estate Tax Bills are mailed to homeowners annually on July 1st. Additionally the most recent bills are available for print from the link below.
- STSD is obligated to be consistent to all taxpayers, therefore due dates must be enforced.
- Payment for the current tax year can be made via STSD Lockbox until December 31st. (Payment must be postmarked by December 31st.)

- Interim bills are issued throughout the year for properties with new construction or improvements. These are mailed after the assessment office issues an updated assessed value to the property.
- Signed receipts for paid taxes are available by either:
- Mailed a request along with all pertinent information and a self addressed stamped envelope to: Southern Tioga School District, 310 Morris Street, Blossburg, PA 16912 OR
- Emailing your request to taxreceipt@southerntioga.org

Tax Certification:
- A tax certificate is a written statement of the status of taxes on a property.
- STSD provides this information upon request to settlement companies, tax services or attorney’s offices only.
- Fee: $5.00 per parcel (Checks made payable to Southern Tioga School District)
- Requests are typically processed in 1-2 business days.
- Certificates will be emailed or faxed.
- To Request a Tax Certification please complete the Tax Certification Request form.

Homestead/Farmstead Exclusion: The taxpayer Relief Act provides for property tax reduction allocations to be distributed by the Commonwealth to each school district. Property tax reduction will be through a “Homestead or Farmstead Exclusion”. Generally, most owner-occupied homes and farms are eligible for property tax reduction. Only a primary residence is eligible for property tax relief.
How do I apply? Homeowners must file an application with their county by March 1st for the following fiscal year. DO NOT mail applications to STSD. For more information or to apply, reach out to your county tax assessment office:

Property Tax Rent Rebate Program:
This program provides a rebate for eligible older adults and people with disabilities age 18 and older.

2025 Real Estate Tax Bills
For your convenience, we have made the current year Southern Tioga School District Real Estate tax bills available online. You will need Adobe Reader (or compatible PDF viewer) to view or print them.
To view a copy of your tax bill, click on menu to the left and then click on your municipality. You can scroll through the bills or search for your name (CTRL+F will open a search box in most programs).
